The lynx dactyl shares power and agility with its ancestor and it can similarly leap seven metres in one stride. The term “Lynx eyed” celebrates its keen sight. In ancient Celtic myth the lynx is associated with llewn, derived from the same origin as Lugh, who was a Celtic solar deity. The quality of light shining from the lynx eyes may have inspired this association. Through ancient myth the lynx was admired for its incredible stealth and illusiveness and was rumoured to be able to see without being seen. Ancient Greek Philosopher Plutarch claimed that the lynx was able to see through objects. Once again resident in the North of England and Caledonia, the Lynx Dactyl was developed by the military for the secret service. With its penetrating gaze, it can see beyond borders and boundaries. Their hunting skills enable them to survive for long periods of time in hostile terrain, able to traverse the landscape, undetected due to their illusive capabilities. They are self-sufficient and they can source their own nourishment, so can survive independently in the field. Their expert hunting skills make them efficient assassins for targeted strategic defences.
