The Goat Dactyl

The Goat Dactyl was modified for rumination as a solution to the global hunger crisis. It has the stomach of a goat, engineered with four chambers to enable the Goat Dactyl to eat any form of plant using enzymes to breakdown and regurgitate the cud to digest even the toughest roughage. Like their forebears, the Goat Dactyl is equipped to roam inaccessible natural terrain, such as barren and rocky landscapes left uninhabitable for many because of global warming. The inbuilt protection of their horns helps ward off marauding gangs in the lawless regions. The goat in Roman mythology was a friend to the Gods featuring many half man half goat companions. Female goats were sacred to Artemis and Diana, goddesses of female independence and the hunt and goats' milk was often drunk in their honour. In Scandinavian myth Thor’s chariot was pulled by two goats who were sacrificed every night to live again each morning. The Yule goat made from the last sheath of grain from the harvest was a celebrated Pagan symbol across Northern Europe and was associated with magic, and is still celebrated during the festive season in Nordic countries.
